Love used to be easy
or maybe it wasn't
and it just appeared to be

It seems now that love is so hard
Everything is at stake
and fate is held in the flip
of the very next card

High or low?
What card is it?
How I wish I could know...

But if love were easy
There would be no challenge
There would be no reward,

If you didn't have to try
and love was just there to grab onto
You couldn't bask in the arms of your lover
under the petal-soft blue sky

With no reward
What would cause you to fight?
And if you didn't feel the need to try,
the love you chose is just not right

and even with the little quarrels

and get comfy in your seat

It is hard to find

but realizing it never
